Quilting Whirlwind Festival Countdown

Standard

It’s October, Houston Quilt Festival and market time! Cleaning house, finishing customer quilts and preparing for a house full of quilters for ten days. I look forward to this so much every year. People sleeping everywhere, comparing festival purchases each night, tons of food and drink, and our annual favorite snack – peanuts mixed with candy corn! Yup, super good, try it!

Just finished a really nice Texas Quilt made by Keeley. She is so talented. This quilt was based on an Across Texas Shop Hop from a year ago, I believe!

Countdown – 20 days!

Meanwhile, bee happy,

  1. Hope you are having a blast. I took three classes this week. I’m not sure I would actually do what I learned, but it was interesting and fun. I kept thinking about the “mystery” starting this month since you asked me about it and finally had to look. Love the colors……………………hmmmmmmmmmmmm…………..might just be hooked! Elaine

    • Had a great time but exhausted now. I took a couple of EQ7 classes and hope to follow up. I think I’ll try to do the mystery. It would be fun to have it when Bonny comes to our guild. K

  2. Wow Karen; sounds like a party at your place. I am looking forward to my FIRST EVER visit to the International Quilt Festival in Houston. My sister in law & I are coming for the entire week. I hope we have as much fun as you are going to have and maybe we can connect during the week at some point! Love the quiliting you did on the Texas shophop quilt.
