This is a gift for a retiring lady.  What a gift to receive!  The fabric choices were great and centered on shades of coral and blue.  The back matched the border fabric and was just so happy.  I embroidered and attached a label in remembrance of the retirement.  It included the ladies name, the date of retirement, the name of the pattern, the piecer and quilter’s names….great idea!  Barbara did a wonderful job on the quilt and I heard that everyone is excited to give it to her.

Look closely at the blue backing to a Quilts of Valor quilt I finished recently.  First time to use the quilting design…I really like it on the QOV.  I believe that it was designed by Nancy Haacke from Canada.
